When I think of fitness my mindset automatically shifts to health.
Resting heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, free from chronic disease, and adequate energy levels are things that are very important to me.
The bottom line is without exercise and proper nutrition our bodies start to break down into a state of disease.
When most people start an exercise program (me being one of them) we tend to get so caught up on how we look physically. Physical appearance is just an added benefit to becoming a healthy individual.
If we can shift our focus to long term health and quality of life, committing to an exercise program will be much less stressful to stick to.
Your appearance results will come with commitment and time, but your will health increase with your first workout!
