When it comes to planning your school year PE program there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, you want to ensure you have hired a professional that not only has the experience in health and fitness but also the student's best interest in mind. I can't tell you how many times growing up I experienced a PE program that lacked any true planning, programming, and student first coaching style.
I always like to say "Remember when they use to test us on pull ups, push ups, and the mile? Yet we never did any of those activities until the test!". It never made any sense to me.
As an administrator, director, or site supervisor it is of utmost importance to ensure you students are attending PE classes that not only fit physical activity requirements, but also their individual needs.
When you are able to find this perfect fit of quality, caring, and experienced individuals magic happens. After a few planning meetings your program runs it self, your students all enjoy their PE program, and the parents are very thankful their children are staying active throughout the school day.
Yours in health,
